Specifying tasks categories


Need to change the default tasks categories according to the processes specific for your company? It's easy! Just add new categories characterizing task goals that aren't covered in the default ones.

The default tasks categories offered within the CRM module are phone call, opportunity, demo, email, fax, execution control, lunch, appointment, note, delivery, social networks, expression of gratitude. You can edit the default tasks categories changing their icon, title, description or delete some of them and add your own categories. See the instructions below.

Bare Bones Instructions

To add a new tasks category, please follow the easy steps below:

  1. Enter your portal using your login details.
  2. Click the CRM link on the start page.
  3. Click the Settings option, then choose the Other settings section and click the Tasks Categories item.
  4. Press the New Category button.
  5. A window will open introducing the form you need to fill in. Select an icon from the drop-down list. Enter a title for the new tasks category as well as its description.
  6. Click the Save button.

The newly created tasks category will be added to the list. Here you can change the order of existing categories by dragging them.

How to edit or delete a tasks category?

To edit or delete a tasks category, click the 'Settings' option, then choose the 'Other settings' section and click the 'Tasks Categories' item, find the needed category, click the Actions icon icon next to it and select the Edit Category or Delete Category option.

Please bear in mind that you can edit or delete a tasks category only in case there are no tasks with this category yet. Once a task is assigned to this category, you won't be able to edit or delete it any more.

How to sort tasks by category?

All created tasks are assigned to a category and it's much easier to navigate through the tasks sorting them by category. For this purpose click the 'Tasks' option at the left-side panel within the CRM module and select the 'Category' option in the 'Sort by' list in the right upper corner.

To view all the tasks belonging to a certain category only, click the plus icon at the filter bar, select the 'Category' option and choose the needed tasks category from the list.
