engineering functions. It is used to convert a hexadecimal number to a binary number. Syntax HEX2BIN(number, [places]) The HEX2BIN function has the following arguments: Argument Description number A hexadecimal number entered manually or included into the cell you make reference to. places The number of digits to display. If omitted, the function will use the minimum number. Notes If the argument is not recognised as a hexadecimal number, or contains more than 10 characters, or the resulting binary number requires more digits than you specified, or the specified places number is less than or equal to 0, the function will return the #NUM! error.
