engineering functions. It is used to convert an octal number to a hexadecimal number. Syntax OCT2HEX(number, [places]) The OCT2HEX function has the following arguments: Argument Description number An octal number. places The number of digits to display. If omitted, the function will use the minimum number. Notes If the argument is not recognised as an octal number, or contains more than 10 characters, or the resulting hexadecimal number requires more digits than you specified, or the specified places number is less than or equal to 0, the function will return the #NUM! error.
