- Can I create private rooms?
Private rooms will be available soon.
- How many users can I add to my DocSpace Cloud portal?
If you are using the Startup Cloud pricing plan, you can add 3 admins/power users and an unlimited number of users. For the paid Business Cloud pricing plan and Enterprise on-premises version, you can add an unlimited number of users, power users, admins.
- Can I connect third-party storage for file synchronization? Can I connect my own third-party storage, which is not available in the Integration settings?
Currently, you can link up your DocSpace with Box, Dropbox, and OneDrive to use the connected account as a third-party resource when creating backups or creating public rooms. It’s also possible to use ready-made apps for Wordpress, Zapier and Zoom. If you need an app to connect ONLYOFFICE DocSpace to your favorite web service, you can contact us: sales@onlyoffice.com
- Can we work with CRM, Mail, Projects in DocSpace?
No. Currently, these modules are not available in DocSpace.
- Can we integrate DocSpace or embed it to our website?
Yes. Use the ONLYOFFICE DocSpace SDK based on JavaScript which allows developers to use all the DocSpace possibilities with api.js. You can integrate ONLYOFFICE DocSpace into your own web application, allowing users to create and submit documents directly from your website.
- Do you provide DocSpace for non-profits?
Yes. If you are a nonprofit organization or a school, you can use the ONLYOFFICE cloud version for free. Learn more here. Other educational institutions can get a discounted rate.
- How does ONLYOFFICE DocSpace handle concurrency control and data consistency when multiple users simultaneously edit a document, and what underlying technologies or algorithms are employed to ensure real-time synchronization and conflict resolution
You can collaborate on documents in real time using two modes: Fast or Strict. If you co-edit the file in the Fast mode, all changes are saved automatically. The timer requests for updates 25 times a second and saves the changes if they have been made. When the file is being co-edited in the Strict mode, you lock the paragraph you are working on. Others can’t see your changes until you click the Save button, and you can’t see theirs. Changes are also automatically saved at 10-minute intervals. In both cases, all the changes are stored in the editors’ cache during the co-editing. The document will be built and saved as DOCX, XLSX, or PPTX to the storage after all the co-authors close the document. To learn technical details on co-editing, please, read this article
