What is ONLYOFFICE Developer Edition?

Developer Edition is intended for those who want to integrate ONLYOFFICE Document Editors with own web application in order to further provide Document Editors to end users as a part of own solution under own brand.

What license is applied for Developer Edition?

Developer Edition is distributed under the commercial license. The complete license text can be found here. There are three different license types that can be selected depending on your purposes: Development Server, Single Server and Cluster.

All the license types:

• involve the use of Document/Spreadsheet/Presentation Editors,
• include the White Label option and ONLYOFFICE Document Builder,
• allow to receive professional support and get updates for free during the subscription period (one year).

The Development Server License is valid for an unlimited period of time, but one year after the purchase date you will no longer be able to get free updates. Single Server and Cluster licenses must be prolonged each year.

What is the difference between the license types?

The difference between the license types is based on the following two main criteria:

• The number of simultaneous connections available to you.
• The possibility to provide the solution to end users as a part of own service.

What is Development Server License?

This license type is intended for those who want to evaluate the solution capabilities and integrate Document Editors with own web application receiving our technical support. It allows to:

• deploy the solution at one location (i.e. physical or virtual server),
• receive free support and updates for one year.

The license does not allow to provide Document Editors integrated with your service under your brand to end users. For this purpose you need to buy the Single Server or Cluster license.

What is Single Server License?

This license type is intended for those who want to integrate Document Editors with own application and then provide end users with a web-based solution that includes Document Editors.

It allows to:

• deploy the solution at one location (i.e. physical or virtual server),
• apply own brand with the White Label feature.

This license type should be used after you have successfully integrated Document Editors into your service under the Development Server license.

The license is valid for one year, after that you need to buy a new one.

What is Cluster License?

This license type is intended for those who want to integrate Document Editors with own application and then provide end users with a web-based solution that includes Document Editors for more than one location.

It allows to:

• deploy the solution at several locations (i.e. physical or virtual servers),
• apply own brand with the White Label feature.

The license is valid for one year, after that you need to buy a new one.

What is the price for each type of license for Developer Edition?

Can I try Developer Edition before purchase?

Yes, you can. A 30-day Trial Period is available for Developer Edition. No function limitations are applied to Document Editors during the trial period. You can integrate them with your solution for evaluation purposes only, but you cannot provide them to your end users, get free support and updates.

How can I get the license key for Developer Edition?

When you click the Buy Now button at the Developer Edition pricing page, you will be redirected to the 2Checkout payment page. After the payment is made, you will receive an email message containing the license key file.

I am using the Development Server License. How can I upgrade my license?

In case you have successfully integrated Document Editors with your service under the Development Server license and now want to provide the solution to your end users, you need to purchase a separate Single Server or Cluster license.

What happens if the subscription period is over?

If you are using the Single Server or Cluster license, the license must be prolonged each year, otherwise your Developer Edition version will be locked when the subscription period is over.

If you are using the Development Server license, you can use all the ONLYOFFICE Development Server features available at the moment of the purchase for an unlimited period of time, but one year after the purchase date you will no longer be able to get free updates. If you want to update your ONLYOFFICE Development Server version later, you will need to purchase a new license key.

I would like to make some additional changes to your standard license agreement. Can this be done?

Our company pays very close attention to the customers needs and it always ready to meet their wishes. So yes, this can be done, but you should bear in mind that, depending on the alternations, the price might change.
