Upgrading your ONLYOFFICE Workspace Enterprise to the latest version

To be able to upgrade your older ONLYOFFICE Workspace Enterprise version to the latest one, you need to download and run the latest installation for Windows.

Step 1. Create a database backup (optional)

As a precaution, you can backup the folders that contain portal data and logs.

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Ascensio System SIA\CommunityServer\Data\
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Ascensio System SIA\CommunityServer\Logs\

In case you plan to install ONLYOFFICE Workspace Enterprise on a different server, or MySQL server is installed in a different location, you will need to create a backup of the MySQL database using any available software you have for such purposes. If ONLYOFFICE is the only application using MySQL on that server, copying the following folder is sufficient.

C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 8.0\data\ or C:\ProgramData\MySQL\MySQL Server 8.0\Data\ (depending on your MySQL installation settings)

After all the data is backed up, please check the portal for correct launch and remember some user data to be able to check it after the upgrade.

Step 2. Download the ONLYOFFICE Workspace Enterprise installation file

To download the ONLYOFFICE Workspace Enterprise installation file, go to the Download page, then navigate to the For Windows section and click the Download button.

Step 3. Update the software version

Once the download is complete, you can proceed with the installation.

Please close all browser instances on the computer used for ONLYOFFICE Workspace Enterprise installation to avoid additional errors before you start the upgrade process.

Run the downloaded latest version installation file. Follow the installation wizard. Please read this guide for more details on how to install ONLYOFFICE Workspace Enterprise to your Windows machine.

Once the installation is complete, please launch the portal and verify that it works correctly and that all data is present.
