UI tweaks

Introduction

ONLYOFFICE editors are designed to accommodate users with special needs, making the editing process comfortable and simple. Please note that the list is not exhaustive, and new features will be added in upcoming updates. If you have any suggestions, feel free to share them on GitHub.

UI Tweaks

1. Customize the display of various elements in the advanced settings of the editors:
   • The Customize quick access button is used to choose which buttons shall be available in the top toolbar, i.e., Save, Print, Undo, and Redo.
   • The Alignment guides option is used to turn on/off alignment guides that appear when you move objects. It allows for a more precise object positioning on the page.
   • The Unit of measurement option is used to specify what units are used on the rulers and in properties of objects when setting such parameters as width, height, spacing, margins etc. The available units are Centimeter, Point, and Inch.
   • For the Spreadsheet Editor:
     • Show function tooltip - enables tips for entering functions.
     • Snapped to the grid while scrolling - enables grid snapping for the scrolling process.
     • Show horizontal scroll bar - enables hiding/displaying the horizontal scroll bar.
     • Show vertical scroll bar - enables hiding/displaying the vertical scroll bar.
     • Default sheet direction - choose whether you want the sheet direction to be Left-to-right or Right-to-left. Please note that this setting will be applied only to the newly created sheets.
2. Support of various scaling presets (125% / 150% / 175%, etc.). The scaling presets are used to change the size of the working area (see corresponding articles for Document / Spreadsheet / Presentation / PDF Editors).
3. Options to fit the editing area to page/screen width (see corresponding articles for Document / Presentation / PDF Editors).
4. Options to hide/show various interface elements:
   • toolbar,
   • status bar,
   • rulers,
   • left and right panels,
   • formula bar,
   • gridlines,
   • headings,
   • zeros.
