Integrating ONLYOFFICE with Zotero

Connect the Zotero service to create, manage, and insert bibliographic references into your documents.

This service is connected via the corresponding plugin in the Plugins tab of the Document Editor.

Obtaining Zotero access keys

To obtain the access keys required to connect Zotero to the Document Editor:

  1. Go to the Zotero registration page and register a new account or sign in to an existing one.
  2. Go to Zotero API settings and click Create new private key.
  3. On the New private key page, select the following options:
    • Personal Library: Allow write access.
    • Default Group Permissions: Read/Write.
  4. Click Save Key.
  5. Copy the generated API Key.

Connecting Zotero in the Document Editor

To connect Zotero in the Document Editor:

  1. Open the Zotero plugin in the Plugins tab of the Document Editor.
  2. Enter the API Key obtained in the previous section into the API Key field and click Save.
