Inserting shapes

Insert a shape

1. Open the worksheet and place the cursor where you want to insert the shape.
2. Tap the icon on the top toolbar to open the object insertion panel.
3. Switch to the Shape tab.
4. Select the desired shape from the list.

The selected shape will appear in the worksheet. Drag its handles to resize it, move it to a new position, or adjust its properties using the formatting toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

Adjust the shape settings

1. Select the shape by tapping it.
2. Open the Shape Settings panel by:
   • tapping the icon on the top toolbar, or
   • choosing the Shape option from the pop-up menu.
3. Expand the section you want to modify: Style, Replace, or Arrange.

   The Style section includes the following options:

   1. Fill — customize the interior of the shape using a solid color, gradient, image, or pattern.
      • Color — choose from Theme or Standard colors, or define a Custom color. To remove the fill, select No filling .

        

      • Gradient — select two colors to create a smooth transition. Adjust the angle and choose a Linear or Radial style. To add more gradient stops, tap and hold the gradient bar or duplicate an existing color point and assign a new color.

        

      • Image — fill the shape with an image.
        • Tap Change to select a photo from your library, take a new one, insert from Files, or remove the current image.
        • Tap Texture to apply a predefined texture.
        • Use the Stretching toggle to fit the image to the shape or keep its original proportions.

        

      • Pattern — apply a patterned fill.
        • Pattern — choose a pattern style.
        • Foreground color — set the pattern color.
        • Background color — set the background color.

        

   2. Line — customize the shape border.
      • Type — select a border style or choose No to remove it.

        

      • Color — choose from Theme, Standard, or Custom colors.

        

      • Thickness — adjust the border width using the slider.

        

   3. Shadow — enable or disable a shadow effect for the shape.
   4. Opacity — adjust the transparency level using the slider.

   The Replace section allows you to swap the current shape with another.

   The Arrange section controls the shape's position relative to other objects. Available options include: Bring to foreground, Send to background, Bring forward, and Send backward. For more details, refer to the Manipulate objects article.

Add text within the shape

1. Place the cursor inside the shape:
   • tap the shape and select Edit Text from the pop-up menu, or
   • double-tap the shape.
2. Enter your text.

The text becomes part of the shape. When you move or rotate the shape, the text moves and rotates with it.

To format the text, tap the icon on the top toolbar and switch to the Text tab. Please refer to Setting font type, size, and color to learn more.

Remove the shape

Select the shape, then choose one of the following:

• tap Delete in the pop-up menu, or
• open the Shape Settings panel, swipe up, and tap Delete Shape, or
• tap the trash icon on the bottom toolbar.
