Insert tables

Insert a table

  1. place the cursor where you want the table to be put,
  2. tap the Insert object icon at the top toolbar to open the new object insertion panel,
  3. switch to the Table icon Table tab and select one of the available table templates. Each template combines certain formatting parameters, such as a background color, border style, row/column banding etc.
  4. in the Table size window that opens, set the necessary Columns and Rows number (the 3 by 3 cell table is selected by default, you can specify up to 10 rows/columns),
  5. tap Accept.

The table will be added. The insertion point is placed in the upper left cell so that you can start entering data. Tap within a different cell to place the insertion point in it.

Add or delete rows or columns

  1. tap a cell within the necessary row/column,
  2. open the text/object settings panel by
    • tapping the Edit object icon at the top or bottom toolbar, or
    • tapping the Edit icon local option in the pop-up menu,
  3. switch to the Table tab,
  4. use the corresponding icons:

    Add column left - to insert a column at the left side from the column where the cursor is placed.

    Add column right - to insert a column at the right side from the column where the cursor is placed.

    Add row above - to insert a row above the row where the cursor is placed.

    Add row below - to insert a row below the row where the cursor is placed.

    Remove column - to remove the column where the cursor is placed.

    Remove row - to remove the row where the cursor is placed.

The corresponding options are also located in the pop-up menu.

Split and merge cells

To merge/split selected cells,

  1. select the cells you want to merge/split,
  2. open the text/object settings panel by
    • tapping the Edit object icon at the top or bottom toolbar, or
    • tapping the Edit icon local option in the pop-up menu,
  3. switch to the Table tab,
  4. tap the Merge cells button. The selected cells will be merge into one. Text and all objects contained in the merged cells will be into one cell and distributed into paragraphs in order.
  5. tap the Split cell button and set the number of Columns and Rows the selected cell should be split into,
  6. tap the OK button.

To merge previously selected cells, use the Merge Cells option in the pop-up menu.

Remove the table

  1. select the table by tapping on one of its edges and dragging the Select top and Select bottom handles so they cover the entire table,
  2. tap the Delete icon Delete icon in the pop-up menu or use the Delete table icon shortcut icon on the bottom toolbar.
