    <p>The <b>SLN</b> function is one of the <a href="../../docs/userguides/spreadsheet_editor/InsertFunction.aspx#financial" onclick="onhyperlinkclick(this)">financial functions</a>. It is used to calculate the depreciation of an asset for one accounting period using the straight-line depreciation method.</p>
    <h5 class="pt8">Syntax</h5>
    <p><b><em>SLN(cost, salvage, life)</em></b></p>
    <p>The <b>SLN</b> function has the following arguments:</p>
