GAMMA.DIST Function
The GAMMA.DIST function is one of the statistical functions. It is used to return the gamma distribution.
Syntax
GAMMA.DIST(x, alpha, beta, cumulative)
The GAMMA.DIST function has the following arguments:
Argument | Description |
---|---|
x | The value at which the function should be calculated. A numeric value greater than 0. |
alpha | The first parameter of the distribution, a numeric value greater than 0. |
beta | The second parameter of the distribution, a numeric value greater than 0. If beta is 1, the function returns the standard gamma distribution. |
cumulative | A logical value (TRUE or FALSE) that determines the function form. If it is TRUE, the function returns the cumulative distribution function. If it is FALSE, the function returns the probability density function. |
