Installing on EndlessOS

Desktop Editors is an application that allows you to edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations stored on your computer in offline mode. It’s also possible to connect Desktop Editors to your cloud and edit documents collaboratively.

You can install Desktop Editors by using the installation package depending on the Linux version installed on your computer (download the required package here) or by compiling it for Ubuntu as per the corresponding guide.

The easier and faster option for EndlessOS is by using the EndlessOS terminal or Flathub as per the following guide.

1. Open the terminal.
2. Enter the following commands:

   For Flatpak:

   flatpak install flathub org.onlyoffice.desktopeditors

   For DEB package:

   apt install onlyoffice-desktopeditors

1. Go to Flathub.
2. Open the Productivity category.
3. Find ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors.
   
4. Click Install, open the downloaded file, and follow the instructions.

To run Desktop Editors, use the following command:

For Flatpak:

flatpak run org.onlyoffice.desktopeditors

For DEB package:

desktopeditors

or

Choose ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors and double-click the icon.

For GUI:

1. Go to the App Center.
2. Find ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors and click its icon.
3. Click the Uninstall button and follow the instructions of the wizard.

For Flatpak:

flatpak remove org.onlyoffice.desktopeditors

For DEB package:

To retain app data and configuration details, enter the following command in the command line:

sudo apt-get remove onlyoffice-desktopeditors

To delete app data and configuration details, enter the following command in the command line:

sudo apt-get purge onlyoffice-desktopeditors
