  4. Use the Decrease decimal and Increase decimal icons at the top of the panel to decrease or increase the number of decimal places displayed.
  5. Tap the number format you want to apply:
    • General — displays your data as plain numbers in the most compact way without any additional signs.
    • Number — displays numbers with 0 to 30 digits after the decimal point where a thousand separator is added between each group of three digits before the decimal point.
    • Integer — displays numbers as integers.
    • Scientific (exponential) — keeps numbers short by converting them to a string of type d.dddE+ddd or d.dddE-ddd where each d is a digit 0 to 9.
    • Accounting — displays monetary values with one of the following currency symbols: $ Dollar, Euro, £ Pound, Rouble, ¥ Yen, and two decimal places. Tap the Open settings icon to select the one you need. Unlike Currency, the Accounting format aligns currency symbols to the left of the cell, shows zero values as dashes, and displays negative values in parentheses.

Tap the Open settings icon to select the one you need. You can also apply the Currency format using the corresponding icon on the bottom toolbar. Unlike Accounting, the Currency format places the currency symbol directly before the first digit and displays negative values with the minus sign.
    • Date — displays dates. Tap the Open settings icon and select one of the available formats: MM-dd-yy, MM-dd-yyyy, dd-MM-yy, dd-MM-yyyy, dd-MMM-yyyy, dd-MMM, MMM-yy.

    • Percentage — displays data as a percentage with a percent sign %. You can also apply the Percentage format using the corresponding icon on the bottom toolbar.
    • Text — displays numeric values as plain text with as much precision as available.
    • Custom format — lets you set a custom format for the cell. Tap Create custom format, enter the format you need, then tap Done in the top right corner.
  6. Return to the previous screen by tapping the Back arrow on the left and close the settings panel by tapping the Close settings panel icon.
