Inserting images

Add an image

1. Place the cursor where you want the image to be put.
2. Tap the icon at the top toolbar to open the new object insertion panel.
3. Tap the Image tab.
4. Select one of the following options to load the image:
   • the Picture from Library option will open the Media Library where you can select the necessary file.

     You must have appropriate permissions on your device Media Library.

     Before inserting, you can adjust the image metadata by tapping the Settings icon in the bottom right corner of the Media Library. The following options are available:

     • Location — include or exclude the location data embedded in the image.
     • Captions — include or exclude the image captions.
     • Format — select the file format for the inserted image:
       • Automatic — automatically selects the best format for the destination. Recommended for most use cases.
       • Current — keeps the original file format, preventing any format conversions.
       • Most Compatible — converts the image to the most widely supported format.
   • the Picture from Camera option will open the default camera application on your device. Take a photo and tap OK.
   • the Picture from URL option will open the Link Settings window where you can enter the necessary image web address in the Image URL field and tap the Insert image button.

The image will be added. Now you can change its properties and position.

Adjust the image settings

1. Select the image by tapping it.
2. Open the Picture Settings panel by
   • tapping the icon at the top toolbar, or
   • tapping the Image option in the pop-up menu, or
   • access some of the settings via the toolbar below.

     

3. The picture settings have two tabs: Picture and Shape.

   The Picture tab contains the following sections: Wrap, Replace, and Arrange, as well as two buttons: Actual Size and Delete Picture. Tap the arrow next to the section name to open it.

   • The Wrap section allows you to select a text wrapping style from the available ones and adjust some additional positioning options. To learn more, please refer to the Change text wrapping article.
   • The Replace section allows you to replace the current image by loading another one from the Media Library or URL.
   • The Arrange section allows you to set the selected image position as related to other objects when several objects overlap each other. To learn more, please refer to the Manipulate objects article.
   • The Actual Size option allows you to restore the original image size.
   • The Delete Picture option allows you to delete the inserted image.

   The Shape tab contains the following sections: Style and Replace. Tap the arrow next to the section name to open it.

   • The Style section allows you to adjust the following image settings:
     • The Fill section allows you to customized the image fill. To learn more, please refer to the Style section of the guide.
     • The Line section allows you to set the image border. To learn more, please refer to the Line section of the guide.
     • The Shadow option allows you to enable or disable the switch to have the shape throw a shadow or not respectively.
     • The Opacity option allows you to set an Opacity level by dragging the slider. The default value is 100%. It corresponds to the full opacity. The 0% value corresponds to the full transparency.

Remove an image

Select the image by tapping it and proceed in one of the following ways:

• tap the Delete option in the pop-up menu, or
• open the Picture Settings panel by tapping the icon at the top toolbar and tap the Delete Picture button on the Picture tab, or
• tap the trash can icon in the menu below.
