ZhiPu Copilot: Implementing AI assistance

In ONLYOFFICE Docs, you can easily generate high-quality articles, interpret complex spreadsheet data, create PowerPoint outlines, and more with ZhiPu Copilot, an AI assistant based on ChatGLM's large model.

Starting with ONLYOFFICE Docs 8.2, no plugins come with the editors by default. The plugins shall be installed via Plugin Manager.

1. Obtain your API key from ZhiPu AI.
2. Go to the Plugins tab and click the ZhiPu Copilot icon to open a drop-down menu.
3. Click the Settings menu item.
4. Choose the preferred AI model from the drop-down menu and paste your API key.
5. Select text in the document, right-click and select ZhiPu Copilot to process the text directly.
6. For more functions, go to Plugin Manager > ZhiPu Copilot > Right-click context menu and choose:

   Common features

   • Explain text / cells - provides detailed explanations for the selected text in the window on the left panel.
   • Summarize text / cells - the selected text will be summarized in the window on the left panel.
   • Translate - translates the selected text into one of the available languages, i.e., English, Chinese, French, German, Russian and Spanish.
   • Correct spelling and grammar - checks and corrects spelling and grammar errors to ensure professional-quality documents.
   • Custom requests - tailor the functionality to specific needs with custom request capabilities.

   Document Editor

   • Analyze text - gain insights into readability, sentiment, and key points to improve your document.
   • Complete text - suggests completions for sentences and paragraphs, aiding the writing process.
   • Generate draft - creates a draft based on user input or a given topic.
   • Rewrite/Expand/Shorten - easily adjusts text sections to meet specific requirements.
   • Text to Image - converts text descriptions into images.

   Spreadsheet Editor

   • Explain text / cells - performs advanced data analysis to identify trends, outliers, and key insights.
   • Summarize text / cells - generates concise summaries of spreadsheet data for quick understanding.

   Presentation Editor

   • Summarize text - generates an outline of a topic to structure your presentation effectively.
   • Text to Image - converts text descriptions into images.
