Integrating ONLYOFFICE with Telegram

Connect the Telegram service to receive portal notifications via Telegram.

Obtaining Telegram access keys

To obtain the access keys required to connect Telegram to your portal:

  1. Open https://t.me/botfather in Telegram Desktop.
  2. Start BotFather using the following command: /start
  3. Create a new bot using the following command: /newbot
  4. Enter a name for your bot.
  5. Enter a username for your bot. The username may only contain Latin characters, numbers, and underscores, and must end in bot, for example, test_bot or TestBot.
  6. Copy the generated token and the bot username.

Connecting Telegram to ONLYOFFICE

To connect Telegram to your portal:

  1. Click the Settings Icon icon in the upper-right corner to open Settings.
  2. Select the Integration tab.
  3. Open the Third-Party Services page.
  4. Scroll down to Telegram and click the toggle to enable it.
  5. In the Telegram window that opens, enter the token and bot username obtained in the previous section.

  6. Click Enable to connect the service.
