Set paragraph line spacing
Set the line height within a paragraph
- put the cursor within the paragraph you need, or select several paragraphs or the whole text,
- open the text and paragraph settings panel by
- tapping the
icon at the top or bottom toolbar, or
- tapping the
option in the pop-up menu,
- tapping the
- on the Text tab, swipe up to see all the settings,
- in the Line spacing section, use the
or
arrows to decrease or increase the line height value.
- return to the previous screen by tapping the
arrow on the left and close the text settings panel by tapping the
cross on the right.
Set the amount of space between paragraphs
- put the cursor within the paragraph you need, or select several paragraphs or the whole text,
- open the text and paragraph settings panel by
- tapping the
icon at the top or bottom toolbar, or
- tapping the
option in the pop-up menu,
- tapping the
- switch to the Paragraph tab,
- tap the Advanced menu item,
- use the corresponding options to achieve the desired results:
- Before/After - set the amount of space before/after the paragraph using the
or
arrows to decrease or increase the current value.
- First line - set the offset from the left side of the page for the first line of the paragraph using the
or
arrows to decrease or increase the current value.
- Space between paragraphs - turn this option on in case you want to add space between paragraphs of the same style.
- Page break before - is used to start a paragraph at the top of a new page,
- Before/After - set the amount of space before/after the paragraph using the
- return to the previous screen by tapping the
arrow on the left and close the paragraph settings panel by tapping the
cross on the right.
Adjust other pagination options
The Advanced section of the Paragraph settings panel contains three more pagination options. Swipe up to see them:
- Orphan control - is turned on by default and used to prevent a single line of the paragraph (the first or last) from appearing at the top or bottom of the page.
- Keep lines together - is used to keep lines together so that only whole paragraphs will be moved to the new page (i.e. there will be no page break between the lines within a single paragraph).
- Keep with next - is used to prevent a page break between the selected paragraph and the next one.
