Color modes

Introduction

ONLYOFFICE editors are designed to accommodate users with special needs, making the editing process comfortable and simple. Please note that the list is not exhaustive, and new features will be added in upcoming updates. If you have any suggestions, feel free to share them on GitHub.

Color modes

  1. Support of various interface themes:
    • The Same as system option makes the editor follow the interface theme of your system, choosing between Modern Light or Modern Dark by default.
    • The Light color scheme incorporates standard blue, white, and light gray colors with less contrast in UI elements suitable for working during daytime.
    • The Classic Light color scheme incorporates standard blue, white, and light gray colors. An inverted color scheme is used for active elements (pressed buttons, enabled features, etc.).
    • The Dark color scheme incorporates black, dark gray, and light gray colors suitable for working during nighttime.
    • The Contrast Dark color scheme incorporates black, dark gray, and white colors with more contrast in UI elements highlighting the working area of the file.
    • The Gray color scheme incorporates a lighter gray color and appears as a uniformly light color scheme.
    • The Modern Light color scheme incorporates white colors with updated smooth icons and more spacing between the elements.
    • The Modern Dark color scheme incorporates dark gray colors with updated smooth icons and more spacing between the elements.
    • The Dark Mode option is used to make the working area darker without affecting printing when any dark theme is enabled. Click the corresponding icon on the top toolbar of the View tab to enable it.

Note: Apart from the available interface themes, ONLYOFFICE editors can now be customized with your own color theme. Please follow these instructions to learn how you can do that.

To learn more about customizing the interface, please refer to the following articles for: the Document Editor, the Spreadsheet Editor, the Presentation Editor, the PDF Editor, the Diagram Viewer.

  2. To display chart elements in high-contrast mode or with geometrical patterns to be distinguishable without being colored, change the chart type (see corresponding articles for Document / Spreadsheet / Presentation Editor).
