Installing ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise Edition for Windows on a local server
Introduction
Enterprise Edition allows you to install ONLYOFFICE Docs on your local server and integrate online editors with ONLYOFFICE collaboration platform or other popular systems.
ONLYOFFICE Docs is an online office suite comprising viewers and editors for texts, spreadsheets and presentations, fully compatible with Office Open XML formats: .docx, .xlsx, .pptx and enabling collaborative editing in real time.

Using it within ONLYOFFICE Workspace, you will be able to:

This guide will show you how to install ONLYOFFICE Docs Enterprise Edition Windows version to your machine.
System requirements
- OS64-bit Windows Server 2016 or higher
Installing ONLYOFFICE Docs
Download the Enterprise Edition installation file in the ONLYOFFICE Docs section.
Double-click the onlyoffice-documentserver-ee.exe file you have just downloaded.
onlyoffice-documentserver-ee.exe /DS_PORT=<PORT_NUMBER>
Where <PORT_NUMBER>
is the number of port you want ONLYOFFICE Docs to use.
For offline installation, download prerequisites separately.
The DocumentServer Setup Wizard will be launched. Click the Next > button to start the installation process.


By default, ONLYOFFICE Docs will be installed to the following folder: C:\Program Files\ONLYOFFICE\DocumentServer\
. If necessary, you can change it clicking the Browse button and selecting the necessary folder on your computer. Then click the Next > button.


If some additional components necessary for the ONLYOFFICE Docs proper work are missing on your PC, these dependencies will be downloaded and installed first. Select the necessary components and click the Next > button.


Click the Install button and wait while the missing components are being installed. If the required components are already installed on your PC, the ONLYOFFICE Docs installation will start.


Once the installation process is completed, click the Finish button to close the wizard window.


If the Open ONLYOFFICE DocumentServer demo option is checked, the Enterprise Edition welcome page will open in your browser. Alternatively, you can enter http://localhost/example in the address bar of your browser. Here you can find further instructions on how to enable document examples or integrate online editors into your web application using the provided API.
Registering your Enterprise Edition version
If you bought Enterprise Edition and received the license.lic file, you can place it to your installation to obtain the software full version.
When you are a Windows user, the license.lic file is placed to the following folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\ONLYOFFICE\Data\license.lic
After that, your version of Enterprise Edition will become registered and full-featured.
