QUARTILE function
The QUARTILE function is one of the statistical functions. It is used to analyze the range of data and return the quartile.
Syntax
QUARTILE(array, quart)
The QUARTILE function has the following arguments:
| Argument | Description |
|---|---|
| array | The selected range of cells you want to analyse. |
| quart | The quartile value that you wish to return, a numeric value. The possible values are listed in the table below. |
The quart argument can be one of the following:
| Numeric value | Quartile |
|---|---|
| 0 | Smallest value in the range of data |
| 1 | First quartile (25th percentile) |
| 2 | Second quartile (50th percentile) |
| 3 | Third quartile (75th percentile) |
| 4 | Largest value in the data set |
