Filling PDF forms with AI

ONLYOFFICE allows you to fill PDF forms automatically using AI agents. The AI can autofill fields for which it has the necessary information and prompt you for any missing details.

Using the ONLYOFFICE Docs AI agent

Follow this guide for general configuration.
Click AI agent in the bottom-left corner.
Upload the PDF form you want to fill.
Provide the required information using one or more of these methods:
- Enter a prompt describing how the form should be filled (e.g., "Help me fill this form" or specific details).
- Upload additional document/s that contain the information required to fill the form.
- Add relevant documents to the Knowledge tab for the AI to reference.
A window appears requesting permission to run form_field_analyser and form_field_filler tool. Click Allow.
The AI will autofill the fields for which it has information and prompt you for any missing details, if any.
The form will be filled and saved automatically in the local storage. You will see the file path on the screen.

The storage location may differ depending on your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).

Using the ONLYOFFICE DocSpace AI agent

Follow this guide for general configuration.
In DocSpace, click AI agents > Your_agent.
Upload the PDF form that you want to fill.
Provide the required information using one or more of these methods:
- Enter a prompt describing how the form should be filled (e.g., "Help me fill this form" or specific details).
- Upload additional document/s that contain the information required to fill the form.
- Add relevant documents to the Knowledge tab for the AI to reference.
The filled form is automatically saved in the Result storage tab. It follows the naming format name_completed.pdf.
You can Download, Edit, Share, or use Ask AI for further actions.

Documents in the Knowledge tab remain available for future use, so you can fill multiple forms without re-uploading the same information.
